A reputable breeder is one who will NOT SELL you a dog which is
not a purebred German Shepherd, has done x-rays before
breeding, offers you a contract on the dog or puppy being sold.
This breeder will make sure they have the answers for every
question you may have.

They also offer you a complete guarantee on the pet you are
considering. They are willing to show you OFA (approved for
breeding) on hips and elbows or have the x-rays they can show
you. Don't be afraid to ask. A good breeder will then know you
are going to be a good owner and will be glad you asked.

A reputable breeder knows everything there is to know about
the breed they are selling. They can also tell you the local laws
regarding licensing so you can be a responsible pet owner.
